Error: You cannot run this tool standalone. Could not connect to MapInfo Pro COM interface

Occurrence

After Installing MapInfo Discover, when I start I get an error message "You cannot run this tool standalone"

Or in newer versions you get an error message "Error: Could not connect to MapInfo Pro COM interface."

Solution

This occurred in Discover 2019 20.1.17.

Install a newer version to resolve the issue.

If the problem persists in the newer version, you will need to delete your corrupted user profile -
