Note: Section Grids generated externally from Encom PA cannot be imported into PA for display.
After generating section grid files in PA using the Section Gridding utility (accessed from the Gridding menu), Encom PA can display the gridded data in profiles or as 3D located images. In 2D displays, Section Grids can be used with their line association such that the Line Iterator can be used to cycle through survey data.

1. Section Grids can be added to documents containing either Curve/Section Profiles or 2D Graphs via the normal menu Add Data>Section Grid method.
2. Once displayed as section profiles (but with grid properties) right mouse click on the Profile 1 or Graph 1 branch in the workspace tree and select the View in 3D option from the pop-up menu.
3. Edit the properties for the Section export to 3D dialog that appears and click the OK button to generate a located image (.EGB) file with associated images that have been geo-referenced. These images will be automatically loaded into a new 3D display window for integration with other datasets or else just visualised individually.
