Occurrence
When I start Discover, I receive an error message "Warning: The access permissions on the Discover Temp directory are read only."
Solution
This generally occurs when you launch 2 instances of MapInfo Discover at the same time, i.e. you accidently double click on the shortcut.
No action is necessary.
If the issue persists you will need to check in the PRO>Options>Discover>Configuration, where is your temporary directory located. By default it is in -
C:\Users\USERNAME\AppData\Roaming\Encom\Discover\Temp
Check you can create and delete files in this folder.
