Occurrence
After pressing the 'Accept Map Position' option of the Scaled Output process, the content of the Frame Object in the the layout window does not match that of the source mapper window. Portions of the Frame Object are blank and/or ''zoomed in'.
Solution
In the initial Scaled Output dialog (Scaled Output->Re-Specify Parameters), press the Configure button.
In the Configuration dialog, check that the Max Window Dimensions parameters are set to less than your physical screen/monitor size.
Note that on a very small screen these will need to be set lower than the default.
