When I add a scalebar to a Map, it is spelt in American English, as "meters" or "kilometers".
Solution
The only way to change the English sub-language style in MapInfo Pro is during install.
To workaround uninstall MapInfo Pro from the control panel.
Then download and Install MapInfo as a Trial/Evaluation copy from here -
Then double click the setup.exe and ensure to select the correct language for the installation.
