Unable to activate a Discover for ArcGIS license error -105


You have your license details but are receiving a -105 error trying to activate it.


1. Are you on a corporate network? Do you use a Proxy server? If so you may need to set the proxy server and login details see this KB -

2. Are you working out of the office, and using your company's VPN? If so try temporarily turning this off and try activating.

3. Are you running any antivirus? If so try turning this off temporarily while activating. You can also add an exception in the antivirus software for the program -
C:\Program Files\ArcGIS\Pro\bin\ArcGISPro.exe

4. You can try increasing the DNS timeout, details on how to do this are here -
