Error in ERMAPPER registry entry

Occurrence

When I start MapInfo Professional, I receive the error -

ERROR in ERMAPPER registry entry.
Please specify BASE_PATH value in the registry.

Solution

This is due to the installation of Discover's grid handler becoming corrupt, generally when ER Mapper or other programs have been isntalled.

Reinstall Discover to repair the installation.
